A graduate of Harvard Law School, a community organizer working for economic and social justice, Aaron Bartley is a co-founder of People United for Sustainable Housing (PUSH Buffalo), which mobilizes residents to create sustainable neighborhoods with quality affordable green housing technologies, green jobs and next generation infrastructure. Aaron writes columns about cities and community organizing at Huffington Post and has commented on community and labor issues in a wide variety of media outlets, including the New York Times, CNN and the Wall Street Journal.
Following the talk is an informative Q&A session with answers to questions on topics including citizens and schools, affordable housing and the allocation of subsidies, land trusts, school busing, the development of PUSH and its models, response to foreclosure and banking abuses, the areaâs scope and racial/ethnic makeup.
